The Lifestyle of the Young Legal Professional

I’ve asked other junior lawyers about requests and related blog topics they want. I remember a friend of mine from law school requested a post about tips on dressing and about what to wear, as she believed I had a lot of insight on that and could provide tips. I honestly enjoy dressing up too. This was probably in 2019 or 2020, closer to when I started Ginny Law Blogs. I have in turn shared links to Canadian stores on the Facebook page for female suits, but have yet to make a blog post on this. I have also noticed students and lawyers asking these questions in Facebook groups and other forums. I also realize there are a lot of topics to cover to cater to the busy professionals we are, from getting dressed to our health. I have written posts relating to feelings of loneliness, academic pressures, career anxiety, performance stress, and more as a law student or graduate in the career journey category of my blog, as I believe it is part of the career journey unfortunately for many and I can only hope to inspire others to know they’re not alone. However, I remember my first associate lawyer job where I felt like I was developing a lot of poor health habits and I just was not feeling well. I was trying to maintain my figure but I was gaining a lot of weight I think from stress, eating unhealthy and not getting the regular exercise I wanted. I have looked at shorter workout videos and more and I would like to share these with you, along with other tips I’ve discovered. I wasn’t sure if these posts were relevant for my blog before, or if there was enough content to suggest it being specifically for legal professionals or somehow related to the law. However now I think there is a lot of ground to cover and this lifestyle category could be useful to other young lawyers, paralegals, law students and other aspiring legal professionals, therefore I am introducing the Lifestyle category i.e. the Lawyer Lifestyle, or for my other legal professionals, it’s a category of my posts catered to the lifestyle of legal professionals. I am excited to share with you new professional lifestyle posts. Do you have law student/lawyer life blog requests for me? Comment below to see if I’ll cover it. Tune in for more posts here as I discuss tips for dressing for interviews and the court, to how to squeeze in exercise as a young lawyer when you don’t feel like you can get to the gym or work out for an hour.

Yours truly,
